About

Throughout my life, I've always been a creative soul. It all began with painting, but things slowed down quite a bit once I tied the knot and started a family.

While enjoying my family, my passion shifted to crafting unique furniture from recycled timbers. Each piece I made was one-of-a-kind, and I never replicated the same design. All the concepts, blueprints, and ideas were stored in my mind, adding a touch of mystery to my work.

Most of my creations featured a cleverly hidden drawer or compartment, adding an element of surprise for the owners. It was always a delight to receive calls from customers months later, excitedly sharing their discoveries. Once people experienced my style of furniture, they often wanted to deck out their entire homes with it.

As demand grew, my hobby turned into a bustling business. To keep things authentic, I only accepted orders under the condition that I could create each piece in my unique style, rather than churning out cookie-cutter designs. I managed to fulfill the backlog of orders while savoring every moment of the process. Eventually, I decided to limit my creations to family members and close friends, keeping the joy of crafting alive.

After my mother passed away in 2016, I felt a strong desire to honor her memory. That's when I came up with the brand name 'Reatha Design' and created a limited edition jewelry line consisting of a total of 2,000 pieces, featuring 8 unique designs. Surprisingly, these pieces sold out worldwide in about a year, all without any marketing efforts.

A portion of the profits from this venture went towards supporting a Temple & School in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Around the same time, my interest in abstract painting was reignited. I started painting primarily for my own enjoyment and for a small circle of friends. Interestingly, my artwork is now mostly held by collectors in Australia, New Zealand, Beijing, and Thailand.

Painting has become my sanctuary, a place where I find peace and everything else fades away.

This year, I'm excited to be back in the studio, working on my new line called 'Painting in the Dark'. If you choose to bring any of my paintings into your space, I sincerely hope they bring you as much joy as they have brought me. 😊
